iLOTBet Mirror Sites: An Honest Guide for Kenya

Search for any betting brand and you will soon find pages offering a "working mirror" or an "alternative link". This page explains what a mirror actually is, why a site sometimes does not open, and why for a reader in Kenya the address of a site is a much smaller question than whether the operator behind it is licensed. It does not list mirror addresses and does not explain how to get around restrictions.

What a mirror is

A mirror is the same platform served from a different web address. Behind it sit the same company, the same accounts, the same balances and the same rules; only the domain in the address bar changes. Operators run alternative domains for ordinary technical reasons, such as moving to a new address, spreading traffic or keeping a backup when a domain has problems. A mirror is therefore not a different casino and not a loophole. Whatever applied to the platform on its main address applies on every copy of it.

When access is blocked or the site will not load

Most of the time, "access blocked" turns out to be something mundane. Before assuming anything else, try the simple checks:

If the site still does not open, the reliable step is to contact the operator through the email address you registered with and ask what is happening. If an operator stops serving players in your country, the honest response is to withdraw any balance through the normal process, not to hunt for another address.

What Kenyan law says about unlicensed platforms

Gambling in Kenya is regulated by the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya (GRA) under the Gambling Control Act, 2025. Offering an online casino to people in Kenya requires an online casino licence from the Authority, and a foreign-based operator can only be licensed if it is registered in Kenya and has a physical address there. The Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations 2026 go further: it is an offence to host, register a domain for, process payments for or otherwise provide services to an unlicensed gambling platform, with a fine of up to KSh 1 million or up to six months for an individual.

Two things follow for an ordinary player. First, a mirror cannot make an unlicensed platform legal, because the licence belongs to the operator, not to the domain. Second, in our reading of the 2025 Act we did not find a mechanism for blocking websites through internet providers, so this page does not claim that Kenya blocks gambling sites. If a site does not load, the causes above are far more likely.

The question that matters: is the operator licensed?

This site cannot confirm that iLOTBet holds a Kenyan licence. You can check it yourself in a few minutes:

  1. Find the company name in the operator's terms and conditions or in the footer of its own site. A licensed online operator must display its licence on its platform.
  2. Look up that company and trading name in the GRA list of licensed gaming companies, which shows the company, trading name, licence numbers and website domain.
  3. Compare the domain you are using with the domain in that list. If they differ, or the company is not there, treat that as your answer.

The same check protects your money if something goes wrong later. A dispute with a licensed operator can be taken to GRA as a complaint, and disputes arising from online gambling can be appealed to the Gambling Appeals Tribunal within 14 days. Our complaints guide covers the steps.

Fake mirrors: how phishing copies work

The biggest everyday risk around mirrors is not the law but theft. A fake mirror copies the design of a real site onto a lookalike address and waits for you to type your login, your one-time codes or your payment details. Warning signs include an address with an extra letter or an unusual ending, a page that asks you to "confirm" your account by re-entering everything, and any request for your mobile-money PIN. A genuine cashier never needs your PIN typed into a web form; the PIN belongs only in your phone's own mobile-money prompt or menu. Links sent in group chats or adverts deserve the most suspicion of all.
