iLOTBet Welcome Bonus

The welcome bonus is the first offer a new iLOTBet account sees, and for many players the only one they ever read closely. This guide explains how a first deposit bonus is normally put together, how to claim it without losing it on a technicality, and how to decide whether it suits the way you play. The exact percentage, ceiling and wagering attached to your account are set by the operator and can change; the version on the promotions page after you log in is the only one that binds.

How a match bonus is built

Most welcome offers are a match bonus: the operator adds a percentage of your first deposit as bonus money, up to a ceiling. That is what the familiar "100% up to" wording means — the percentage is the share of your deposit that is matched, and the "up to" figure is the most the match can reach. To make the format concrete with invented numbers (not iLOTBet's): under a 100% match up to KSh 10,000, a KSh 2,000 deposit would bring KSh 2,000 in bonus, while a KSh 15,000 deposit would still bring only KSh 10,000, because the ceiling stops the match.

The bonus usually sits in a separate bonus balance until its wagering requirement is met. Your deposit and the bonus may be used in a set order — cash first, then bonus, or the other way round — and that order decides which money is at risk when you play. The terms say which applies.

Sign-up bonus, registration bonus or first deposit bonus?

The labels overlap. A sign-up bonus or registration bonus is anything promised for opening an account; in practice it is almost always triggered by the first deposit, which is why "first deposit bonus" is the more honest name. A bonus on sign up with no deposit at all is rare and comes with tight limits — our no deposit bonus guide explains why. A welcome package is a longer version: the offer is split across the first two, three or more deposits, each with its own match and its own requirement.

How to claim it, step by step

  1. Register with your real details. Use the name that appears on your national ID card or passport and on the mobile-money or bank account you will pay from. Kenyan law requires proof that you are 18 or over before registration, and a mismatch in names is the most common reason a first payout stalls later.
  2. Open the promotions page before paying. Some offers need you to opt in or tick a box in the cashier; activating after the deposit often does not work.
  3. Enter a promo code only if the offer asks for one. Codes come from the operator's own pages; see our promo codes guide for where the field usually sits.
  4. Choose a payment method that qualifies. Look for M-Pesa or Airtel Money in the cashier and check the offer for an excluded-methods line.
  5. Check both balances. After the deposit, confirm that the bonus appears in the bonus balance and that the cash amount matches what you sent — keeping in mind the 5% excise duty on amounts credited to a gaming wallet, which the operator collects.

Clauses to read before you accept

When saying no is the smarter move

A welcome bonus is optional, and declining it is a perfectly reasonable choice. If you plan a small first deposit simply to see how the cashier and payouts work, a bonus adds rules you do not need. If you want to try a jackpot game or a lotto-style draw, check whether those count — if they do not, the bonus will sit idle while you play. And if you expect to withdraw soon, an unfinished requirement can hold the whole balance. In each case, playing with your own money keeps every win free of wagering conditions.

Sign-up bonus and promo code on registration

Some operators place the promo code field on the registration form, others in the cashier or on the promotions page, and a few accept the code only during the first deposit. If you have a code, find out where it goes before you start, because a code entered in the wrong place — or after the payment — usually cannot be added later. Codes passed around in chat groups are a common source of disappointment: if the operator's own site does not mention the code, assume it is not valid for your account. Whatever form the offer takes, the welcome package is the start of your history with the operator, so keep a note of what you accepted and when. After the first bonus, the regular offers are covered in our reload bonus and cashback guides.
