Airtel Money at iLOTBet

Airtel Money

Plenty of Kenyan players keep a second SIM, and for many of them that second line carries Airtel Money. Whether the iLOTBet cashier lists it for your account is something only the cashier can tell you — we do not claim the method is available, and we do not publish limits or fees on the operator's behalf. The set of methods and limits depends on your account — check the iLOTBet cashier. Below is a practical guide to recognising the option, using it without mistakes, and keeping withdrawals tied to the right line.

Spotting Airtel Money in the method list

Some cashiers give each network its own tile; others group every wallet under one "mobile money" button and ask you to pick the network on the next screen. If you only see an M-Pesa tile, scroll and open any grouped option before concluding that Airtel Money is missing. What you want to find, before paying anything, is the minimum and maximum per top-up and a line saying whether payouts can return to Airtel Money as well. A method that only works one way changes your plans: you would have to withdraw elsewhere, and that other route also has to be in your name.

Making a deposit with Airtel Money

The flow mirrors other mobile wallets. You choose the method, type your Airtel number in the format the cashier asks for, enter the amount and confirm. The approval then happens on your phone — usually through a PIN request pushed to the handset, sometimes through a payment you start from the Airtel Money menu using a business number and account reference shown in the cashier. Keep the screen open until the cashier reports success. Closing it early does not cancel the payment, but it makes the result harder to follow.

Look closely at the credited amount. Kenya's 5% excise duty on money credited to a betting or gaming wallet (in force since 1 July 2025 and kept in the Finance Act 2026) is collected by the operator, so a cashier that applies it credits less than you sent. Knowing that in advance saves a support ticket.

Why prompts fail — and what not to do

Failed attempts tend to have dull causes: the phone was locked when the PIN request arrived and it expired, the number was typed with a missing digit, the wallet held less than the amount, or the line was registered to another person. None of these moves money, so a retry is safe. The one thing not to do is resend when money has already left your wallet but the balance has not changed — that risks paying twice. Collect the transaction code and the exact time instead, and hand them to support.

Withdrawing to Airtel Money

Where payouts to Airtel Money are offered, the cashier normally sends them to the line you deposited from. If you topped up from Airtel but want to cash out to M-Pesa, ask support first; operators commonly insist on returning money by the route it came in, and splitting deposits across two networks can mean splitting payouts too. Verification comes before the first withdrawal: a national ID card or passport, matched against the name on your account and on the Airtel line, plus proof that you are 18 or older.

The legal clock for licensees is about the casino balance — a monetary online win has to be credited to your account within two days — not about the moment money reaches your phone. If a withdrawal stays pending, the withdrawal guide lists the usual reasons. Any tax deducted on a withdrawal should be stated in the cashier; we do not quote a rate, because official sources currently disagree on it.

Two lines, one budget

Having two wallets makes it easy to lose track of how much has gone in. Set one deposit limit on the gaming account itself rather than relying on wallet balances; the account limit covers every method at once. Licensees in Kenya are required to offer daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits, and our limits and self-exclusion page explains how they work.
