Crypto payments at iLOTBet
International cashiers often carry a crypto section, and iLOTBet is a brand whose cashier may show one depending on the account. This page explains how a crypto casino cashier normally works — coins, networks, confirmations, payouts — and adds the Kenyan context that crypto guides usually leave out. The set of methods and limits depends on your account — check the iLOTBet cashier. Local routes such as mobile money are covered on the payments hub.
Visit iLOTBetCrypto and Kenyan law
The Gambling Control Act 2025 spells out how a licensee may receive a player's funds: by debit card, electronic funds transfer, mobile money transfer, cash deposit, or another method approved by the Gambling Regulatory Authority (s.73(4)). Crypto is not among the channels the Act names, and we could not confirm any approval that would cover it. That does not settle how a particular cashier behaves, but it does mean a crypto option is no sign of a Kenyan licence — if anything, it is a reason to check the operator's licence status yourself, as described in our iLOTBet review.
Supported coins and networks
- Bitcoin (BTC) — its own network; slower confirmations, fees rise when the network is busy.
- USDT (Tether) — a stablecoin tracking the US dollar, issued on several networks; TRC20 and ERC20 are the ones cashiers most often list.
- Ethereum (ETH) — runs on the Ethereum network, where the fee is paid as "gas".
- Litecoin (LTC) — usually quicker and cheaper to move than Bitcoin.
Which of these the iLOTBet cashier actually lists for your account is shown only there. What matters most is the network: USDT sent on ERC20 to an address expecting TRC20 is, in most cases, lost. Pick the same network in your wallet and in the cashier every time.
How to make a crypto deposit
Choose the coin, then the network, and the cashier generates a deposit address — often with a QR code and a minimum amount underneath. Copy the address with the copy button and compare its first and last characters after pasting. Send from a wallet you control. The balance is credited once the network has produced the number of confirmations the cashier requires, converted into your account currency at the rate the cashier applies at that moment. A bitcoin deposit follows exactly the same pattern; it simply takes longer to confirm.
How a crypto withdrawal works
A crypto withdrawal goes to an address you enter, normally on the same coin and network you deposited with. Before the first payout the usual identity checks apply — national ID card or passport, and proof that you are 18 or older; Kenyan law requires a licensee to confirm age before paying out a prize (s.70(6)). Crypto is pseudonymous, not anonymous: the operator still knows who you are, and the blockchain records every movement permanently.
Network fees and confirmations
Every network charges its own fee to whoever sends the transaction. Bitcoin and Ethereum fees swing with demand; TRC20 transfers of USDT are typically cheaper. The cashier may add a charge of its own and should show it before you confirm. Confirmations are the network's way of settling a transaction: until enough of them accumulate, the cashier treats the deposit as pending.
The shilling question
Except for stablecoins, crypto prices move constantly against the Kenyan shilling. Buying BTC, depositing, then withdrawing and selling back into KES exposes you to the market twice — the result can differ from your game result by more than you won or lost. USDT removes most of that swing against the dollar, but not the shilling's own movement against the dollar. If knowing your spend to the shilling matters, a KES route such as M-Pesa is simpler.
Tips before your first transaction
- Match coin and network in your wallet and in the cashier, every single time.
- Send a small test amount first if you have never used that address.
- Keep the transaction hash until the balance is credited; support traces crypto by hash.
- Never share a wallet's recovery phrase — no support agent will ever need it.
Where the cashier offers it, you can deposit with USDT or Bitcoin and play via USDT once the network confirms the transfer; the same confirmations decide when the balance appears.
Beyond Bitcoin and USDT, a crypto cashier may list ethereum and litecoin. A bitcoin deposit and any other crypto deposit follow one routine — copy the address, send, wait for confirmations — and a crypto withdrawal travels back on the network you choose in the cashier.
